These give us the freedom to race against each other on open tracks or to simply try to accomplish a few tricks. Mini Motorcycle Safety Rules
This might be a great deal smaller than your average motorcycle – but when you do not follow the safety rules that come with it you will find yourself in a lot of trouble. The first rule that parents should abide by is the driving age of the child using it. Children that are under the age of twelve must not ride these mini motorcycles without adult supervision.
It is also wise to have some type of adult supervision when the child is between the ages of thirteen and sixteen. The restrictions will sometimes prohibit the child from riding when under a certain age. It will vary on each city or state. Check your local DMV or local authorities to know what the laws are for your area.
In order to prevent you or another driver getting in an accident we urge you to never drive these on dirt roads, at night, or in bad weather. These were not meant to handle the rough terrain from a dirt road and could cause you to lose control when driving over gravel, sand, ice, or mud.
It is also important that you keep the mini motorcycle off the main roads and on the sidewalks. If many drivers in large cars and SUVs have a difficult time seeing a standard sized motorcycle imagine how difficult it will be to see a miniature form of it? Also never ride the motorcycle when your vision is impaired.
Mini Motorcycle Safety Gear
When you go to purchase your mini motorcycle make sure that you also purchase the necessary safety gear to go along with it. This will include the helmet, shoes, gloves, elbow pads, and knee pads. The helmet is the most important and must fit perfectly on the person’s head.
Each of these various pieces of gear are designed to protect your body in case you fall down. Many mini motorcycles are designed to travel fast and if you fall down at these speeds you could possibly tear your skin or even break a bone when not wearing any safety gear.
